Windows 10: I turn on "Airplane Mode" every night, but somehow the wifi is back on the next morning....

I understand that Microsoft wants everyone to download every update. I'd rather not, thanks. And I've disabled everything users suggest disabling to stop it, with no luck.....Every night I turn on "Airplane Mode," which as everyone knows is supposed to turn off the WiFi. But many times I find it turned ON the next morning. Does Windows-10 have the ability to do that? If so, how do I prevent Microsoft from turning my WiFi on at 2am or whatever?Thanks.

airplane mode

problem was:

pc cant connect to wifi cos airplane mode randomly turned on by itself

you can google to see why computer does that - microsoft seems to have never fixed this

fixed this by turning off something in services (this goes to show how many services are bad and should be off by default, again a long-standing microsoft problem that they've never made better)


new problem:

the wifi icon on botton left changed to the airplane mode icon

and when old problem was fixed, airplane mode icon is stuck like that

what are steps to fix?

what are troubleshoot this?

 

Wifi can't be turned off, unless by airplane mode

my laptop don't have a wifi function button, unfortunately *Sad, only airplane mode function button, which turn on and off the airplane mode

i can turn the wifi off from there, but somehow it really disturbing to open settings and go to the airplane mode only to turn off the wifi, instead of going to the notification bar.

That is exactly my problem, i can't turn off wifi from the system tray, unless you turn on the airplane mode *Sad
