I turned off Onedrive because it made me lose a bunch of files and continues to say I am...

I don't wan't Onedrive Controlling my files. I did as much as I could to move my files into a different drive so I can manage them and Onedrive turned back on screwing up drive. I don't want onedrive. I lost eveything on drive because I was trying to fix drive is out of space errorI don't want my profile on operating disk. I have multiterrabyte drives to store my stuff on. I don't want my data to be all over and also I don't know where I am using my data I want profile and My data off OS Drive. I don't want to have my stuff synced to who knows where.

  2. Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

OneDrive Get back Files onto Computer

I previously answered your question on that citing the illustrated tutorials. OOPS Clicked OneDrive Backup and Don't Want it. I am very sorry those are unsuitable for you. As Idgat says you need to tread carefully. Remember that even when you have finally uninstalled Onedrive- that's the last step of several- you will still have access to files in your online Onedrive account (access via your browser). I suggest the following: a. disable synching. Check data b. disable Onedrive integration. Check data c. When sure, completely uninstall Onedrive Check data There are, as you know, tutorials for each of those. You don't want to read those. I will assume either that you know how to do each of those steps, or that you can find out in a manner that suits you. Could I suggest you ask a friend who is more familiar with technical matters to help you?

I suggest you shouldn't expect people to repeat the instructions in the tutorials for you in detail. They are there so they are accurate and people don't have to spend time doing that. Good luck!

Files/folders show in File Explorer Windows 10 they are being synced but OneDrive says all is good

Thank you for the detailed response. To troubleshoot, you can follow the steps below:

    Restart OneDrive app.

    • Check the notification area in the left part of the taskbar and click
      Show hidden icons
      arrow.
    • Right-click the cloud icon and click Exit.
    • Once you are prompted with a dialog box, click the Close OneDrive button.
    • To start OneDrive, search for OneDrive app inthe Search
      bar and open the app.

By doing this, OneDrive will stop syncing and restarts after opening the OneDrive app. If the files are still continuously syncing, please respond back so we can provide additional steps.

We will wait for an update.
