Windows 10: I unhid and hid my AppData folder and some of the folders in it- that messed up my Windows...

I unhid and hid my AppData folder and all the folders in it and that messed up my Windows. Why did that happen?____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Here is what happened after I did that:Explorer.exe stopped responding. I could not access the Windows menu, the taskbar, I could not open mp4 files, jpgs, or any files for that matter. Also, no button shortcuts were working. The only thing I was able to do was access folders, but nothing more.I tried restarting the PC, explorer.exe, and s

is it safe to unhide the appdata folder

Howdy Guys,
i am running the Acronis True Image backup software but i couldnt see how to backup MS Outlook files so i thought i would unhide appdata folder, which is where the OST files etc are located. i can then run a backup of that location.
is it safe to unhide the appdata folder?

They were marked as system files by virus so i wasnt able to see.. i enabled to view system files in options then i can see folder but yet cant unhide.

i googled and found solution.

I tried attrib -s -h folder name & it worked for that folder. Then I tried attrib -s -h /s /d which did all the folders, sub-folders in a single go.

I also like to see the AppData Folder and the Hidden Files & Folders etc.

Also. if you look at Post #14 in the above Tutorial, you will see that I setup a REG file for them.
