Windows 10: I uninstalled an HP printer, but when i start my PC its looking for a dll that no longer...

I recently uninstalled my HP Photosmart 7520 from my laptop. Now every time I bootup I receive a message: Crogramfiles\HP\HPPhotosmart7520series\bin\HPstatusBL.dll can't be found. I went to Uninstall Programs, and its no longer there. What can I do to stop my laptop from looking for this dll?

Uninstall HP ENVY 5020 All-in-One Printer

FWIW, I used the following steps to uninstall an HP Envy 5660 from several machines, always with success. I don't know if "any traces" are left, but I have no problem reinstalling or installing a different HP printer. Remove previous HP Envy 5660 printer drivers by doing the following: a. Turn off printer and uninstall any HP software under programs b. Remove device HP Envy 5660 under Control Panel/Devices and Printers c. Run “printui.exe /s” and under Drivers tab, remove any HP Envy 5660 drivers and packages d. Reboot the PC HTH

 

Looking for a new Printer

Well, after a recipe cook, and start of another one, my Epson Workforce 500 died.. *Cry :cry: Served me good for 2 years.

So, now looking for a new printer to buy come next pay

• Price: Under $200
• Preference: All-in-One since I work from home when I'm off the clock. (has to have a fax)
  Scanner/copier/fax
• Color Printer
• Networking of any kind. Printer is close to router
  

No brand is a preference. I do have a Corporate discount with both HP and CDW.

HP printer driver bug/issue

I had an HP printer a couple of years ago, and since changed brands, but when I follow these steps, no HP shows. I only see my current printer. So if it's not listed I guess I don't have drivers for it anymore?




Also what about people who are just simple users, and will have no idea what to do? I know a couple that just let Windows do everything for them. This seems like a nightmare if a fix isn't pushed automatically since there will be a lot of people affected, and not even know since they don't even follow tech news for things like this.
