Windows 10: I uninstalled Kaspersky from my computer and windows defender is not enabled

Hi,So I downloaded Kaspersky years ago and after reading up on it recently, decided to uninstall. I called to cancel my subscription and then uninstalled it. When I opened Windows Security it still says that Kaspersky is my default anti-virus and says "Kaspersky Anti-Virus is turned on". It is not listed in my program files or in my applications anywhere but it is still high-jacking my security.Thanks!

Windows Defender should have been disabled (to prevent potential software conflicts and performance issues) by the presence of Kaspersky on your computer

The Kaspersky program that was on your computer prior to the upgrade has evidently not properly registered to Windows. Suggest you uninstall/reinstall Kaspersky.

But - - -

You need to be sure you're using the latest version of your Kaspersky product to ensure it's compatible with Win 10. You may wish to seek advice from Kaspersky.

Defender turned off my Kaspersky

Suggest you uninstall Kaspersky thru Control Panel, reboot the computer, then run the Kaspersky Removal Tool as listed in List
of anti-malware product removal tools, reboot the computer, then reinstall Kaspersky.

Unable to start Windows Defender Windows 10 after uninstalling Kaspersky and Malware Bytes

Trying to start Windows Defender windows 10, after uninstalling Kaspersky AV, Windows 10 would not start Windows Defender due to another AV. Although Malware Bytes v3 should run with Windows Defender, I uninstalled it but still no luck. Have tried turning
off periodic scanning. reinstalling and re uninstalling Kaspersky. Tried using Kaspersky removal too but it doesn't include 2017 version. I have no other AV installed. Control Panel doesn't list any other either.
