Windows 10: I updated my PC, and now it won’t connect to my monitor. Trying to fix it just made it worse.

So today I opened the Gigabyte Control Center app that came with my PC, went down to the update section, and installed the latest drivers and software. After that was done, the screen said it was shutting down, but my PC lights/fans along with keyboard and mouse were still running, although my monitor was still pitch black. I decided to hold the power button until all of those processes were stopped, and unplugged the cables and hit the power switch a few times. Now when I turn it on, the PC lights don’t turn on except when turning on the switch, in which they flash for a second then turn off

I`ve been trying to solve this problem for 3 months to no avail.

PLEASE HELP!!!

EVERY time the computer check new updates, the following message appears:

We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet.

My PC is connected to the internet, so this could not be the problem.

you`ve only directed me to a window link, which I don`T really understand.

Could ANYONE PLEASE send me a simple answer how I can solve this problem step by step???????
