    Network Shares on Western Digital MyBook Live have disappeared from Network selection under Windows 10...

    The network shares on my Western Digital MyBook Live have disappeared from the Network selection under Windows 10.

    This seems to happen every so many windows updates, and they don't come back without a complete restoring of Windows. I'm getting tired of this. WHY??? does it keep happening?

    I used to be able to click on "Network" and see all my network drive folders at the top of the window. When they disappeared before, I could click the MyBook Live icon and I could get the list of folders. Now they don't show up at all when I click the
    MyBook Live Icon. Instead it takes me to the devices setup page instead of letting me view the shared folders.

    I have to actually type in the IP address of the device and the exact folder I want to view.

    This is really frustrating that it keeps happening, and I've done nothing to change any network settings.

    I used the network reset option, and I got my ability to see other computers back, but not the network drive folders.

    I have to right click the MyBook Live Icon and select "Open". This did not work until I reset the network under Network Connections.

    Please fix this issue. I don't want to have to make shortcuts to all my network folders, it is just tedious and creates a huge amount of clutter.

    If anyone knows how to fix this without having to re-install Windows again, please let me know.

    Western Digital USB Backup Drive and MS Auto Optimization

    I have a Western Digital external USB drive that automatically backs up files.

    After upgrading to Win 10 I was surprised to see that it was listed with C:, etc. and it appears to be there because Win 10 intends to analyze and optimize it. I don't think Win 10 should be messing with the files on the Western Digital drive because the
    WD s/w will probably not be able to retrieve anything. Thanks.

    Two questions:

    - is Win 10 going to try and optimize the WD drive and files?

    - if so, how do I remove it from the list?
