I updated to windows 11 and never received a 48 digit recovery key. Can I use a windows 10 professional recovery flash drive to get past the bitlocker screen without losing my data?I cannot find the device on my Microsoft account. Its a Dell 1700 Inspiron. I've learned that I can't register this computer and I need to get into the computer. In Windows 11 Pro, I can't enter the 48 digit recovery key into the BitLocker field.

In Windows 11 Pro, I can't enter the 48 digit recovery key into the BitLocker field - however, my personal password works.

The field will not allow any characters to be entered.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

My computer is requesting the 48 digit Bit Locker recovery key, which I have located in my Microsoft account. I have entered the key carefully ensuring that I have entered it correctly and I get a message saying "failed to unlock with this recovery key"

Please advise where I can locate the correct recovery key from?
