Windows 10: I use the rdpsign that comes with windows to sign my saved rdp files, but it gives an error

rdpsign.exe .\a_1.rdp /sha256 669f898eb66b3a309ca554198b643f014a6e4b6eI use this piece of command in powershell and it works. I opened the RDP file I saved on the RDP server without reporting an error, but when I put it on my other machine, an error occurredlike this. enter image description hereI tried running an RDP file without a signature and it opened. It can be opened normally on the RDP server or other devicesI also checked Microsoft's official documentation to confirm that the syntax is correct. Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Windows encounters an error and restarts when editig RDP files


I wonder if anyone have had the same problem with editing RDP files?

Each time I open a RDP file for editing to change the user name and enter the new domain\user but no password and press enter a black error window pops up saying there is only one minut to restart... I can only close everything a wait... the start menu is locked and the task maneger doesn't work too. How strange is that?

Then after it rebooted and is starting it needs a few minutes (usualy a few seconds) to come up.

I looked at the event viewer and there is a list of half a milion error messages *Eek about the biometric processor I've disabled it hoping it won't slow windows down next time.

Can this have anything to do with the crashing RDP editor?

 

GPO to forget saved RDP credentials

Users are saving RDP credentials in their RDP mstsc window. How to remove the saved credentials. I know there is a option to remove REMEMBER ME option. But that is not removing saved credentials.

Also i created a test machine to test this with test AD

If i save by calling remotely using IP and save password next time it ask me password giving an error

“Your system administrator does not allow the user of saved credentials to log on to the remote computer XXX because its identity is not fully verified. Please enter new credentials”.

then i have to save RDP details in generic credentials in credential manager using TERMSRV

I believe in real environment its show having issue while saving when calling using IP.

My aim is to flush saved credentials for RDP and disable the remember me option( this solution i got)
