  1. I used a driver update site to update my drivers .keyboard and mouse don't work

Win10 home on a Dell desktop, GForce keyboard, Logitech wireless mouse...both are USB enabled. The computer and keyboard will get me to F1, F2, F8, F10, F11, and F12. No path to system restore from these. Powering up while holding the shift key only takes me to F1 or F2. Is there a setting I am missing to get to a system restore from booting up the computer? The system boots but once it is running the keyboard and mouse a disabled. Is there a fix short of a fresh install?

    :)

KB4074588 Update - Breaks Keyboard and Mouse drivers

    Hello,

With regards to your concern about the KB4074588 update to Windows 10 that your keyboard and mouse unable to properly use may be related to a compatibility issue or the driver of your devices needs to be updated. For better assistance, we'd like to ask the
    following:

    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Have you checked the Device Manager on your computer, if the driver of your keyboard and mouse is detectable?
    • Are you using a laptop or PC? If you're using a laptop, can provide the make and model of your device? If you're using a PC, can you tell us the make and model of your keyboard and mouse?

Meanwhile, we recommend checking if your drivers are all updated. To do so, follow the steps on this
    link.

We are looking forward to your reply.

Keyboard not working after Windows 10 Update

    Hi,

    Have you tried updating
your mouse and keyboard driver? If not, we suggest you to do so. There is a possibility that the driver is not compatible with the new Windows 10 update. However, one
of the workarounds that we suggest for your mouse and keyboard to work is to update the driver. If the symptom persist, you can run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter. To run the Troubleshooter, follow these steps:

    • On your search bar, type
      Troubleshooting.

    • Change the view to
      View all.

    • Choose
      Hardware and Devices
      and run the troubleshooter.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.
