Windows 10: I used the windows 10 media creation tool for my laptop, and it won't activate

It's been hours since I installed it. The laptop used to belong to a teacher, so I installed windows home, but it doesn't activate, and I updated everything. I'm upgrading to windows 11, so maybe that might fix it, but just in case it doesn't, can you tell me how can I fix this?

Windows Media Creation Tool Error 0x80070079-0xA001A

Your USB thumb drive needs to be at least 8 GBs.

The error code 0x80070079-0xA001A means that the tool doesn't have permission for it to run. For us to assist you, we suggest that you

Windows 10 using the media creation tool???

Is it just me being stupid or... well... I downloaded a Windows 10 media creation tool from

When I run it, it gives me an option to create Win 8 media only?? There is NO windows 10 on the list

Tested it on one PC and two laptops :| All genuine copies of Windows (2x Win 8.1, one Win7)
