Windows 10: I want display resolution to 1920x1080 but it is showing only 1366x768.

The setting shows my resolution is 1920x1080 but everything looks like it's 1366x768 sized icons.

Hi, the screen resolution for my laptop is 1920x1080, and before I was using windows 8, the icon size displayed as it should be in that resolution, but after upgrading it to windows 10, even though the setting shows my resolution is 1920x1080, everything
looks like it's 1366x768 sized icons. Anyone knows how to fix this issue???

Method 1:

I suggest you check and select the 1920x1080 Display Resolution.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the open area on the Desktop.
• Select the Graphics properties.
• Click on Display.
• Under Resolution check and select the 1920x1080 Display Resolution if its present.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2:

I suggest you to update the Display adapters driver from the Device Manager and check if it works.

Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on Start button and click on Device Manager.

2. Select the Graphic driver from the list by extending Display adapters.

3.Right click on the Graphic driver and click on Update driver Software.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 3:

I would recommend you to download and install the latest driver in compatibility mode for the manufacturer’s website and check if it works.

Change Display Resolution from 1366x768 to 1920x1080

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There are two versions of that laptop model, one has a FHD (1920 x 1080) display and the other has a HD (1366 x 768) display

If your model is the one with the HD (1366 x 768) display then you cannot increase your resolution to 1920 x 1080 that resolution will not be listed because there is simply not enough pixels on the screen to produce that resolution
