Windows 10: I want the old version of notepad.

Discus and support I want the old version of notepad. in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; How can I roll back to the original version of notepad?     I want the old version of notepad.


    How can I roll back to the original version of notepad? The new version is less useful and I don't want reminders to upgrade to a newer version.

    Notepad on Windows 7\

    Suggestion would be uninstall then new install on Win7. Maybe an older version would work better? A list, maybe Version 7?

    Getting the old version of Notepad on Windows 11

    Good Day OlivierD'Anjou,

    My name is Carlo, I am also using Windows 11 pc and community member like you.

    Here's the steps you can try.

    -Right-click on the Start button and select Settings from the menu.

    -On the list on the left-hand side, select Apps.

    -From the right pane, select Optional features.

    -Click on View Features corresponding to Add an Optional feature.

    -Search for Notepad from the list and check the box associated with it.

    -Click on Next. On the next page, click on Install.

    Reboot the system after Notepad has been installed.

    1. UNINSTALL UWP NOTEPAD

    2. GO TO SEARCH AND SEARCH "notepad.exe"
    3. CLICK "Open"

    4. Enjoy the old notepad! (Dark mode does not affect legacy notepad

    NOTE: A banner will appear inside the app, saying "A new version of Notepad is available."
