Windows 10: i want to Add a work or school user to local machine - works - but generates wrong username...

I've added a work or school user from AzureAD to my local machine. In the last time the display name of that user was "Company Wonderful - Office".I ended up in a user directory locally named "CompanyWonderful-O". Now I only want it to be "Office".So I changed the display name accordingly in Azure, deleted work or school user account, re-added it, again got the old Name "CompanyWonderful-O".What can I do the get the proper local folder for the user? Work or School Users in Windows 10 and restoring User files

Hi.

I had a problem when I tried to access Safe mode and forgot the user password. Tried everything until I got a Password reset program which allowed to get access to the Administrator account and was able to get the machine to boot with the safe mode problem.

Now the machine is running with the Administrator as the user but the original user that I set up as work / school user [with Administrator rights] shows up in the settings as

AzureAD/username

Administrator

Since I could not access my files [as I normally would, - [I am copying the files out to another location on a different drive for safety] - I am trying to figure out how I could return the original user to be the user I worked everyday. I tried creating
a new local user and I can't even get in as that user.

Has anyone run into this and if you found a resolution could you please let me know how to fix. The next step is to stick in a new drive and reinstall Windows 10 Pro.

Hopefully someone will help which would be appreciated.

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.

 

New account username just popped up on laptop

Hello, thank you. Yes, on the first suggestion, the directory C:\Users, the folder lists Public and my username only. But, in the second suggestion, C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe, Netplwiz.exe, the WorkAway account is listed as a User in Groups. I do have OneDrive through my school and personal email. As far as work goes, I only log in remotely to check my work emails at times using Imprivata. Thanks.
