Windows 10: I want to install another system and have dual boot through UEFI

Hi,


So a while back I migrated from an HDD drive to an SSD one, and that came with so many problems that I ended up fixing but I don't think I fixed them permanently and correctly!


first: whenever I go into the booting options in the BIOS I see Windows boot manager instead of what it was showing before migrating "UEFI: something"


second: there are so many partitions in my C drive that seem to be reserved to the System and I don't know which one of them contains the boot file and which ones don't.


third: I tried installing Ubuntu but when I reached the step where I choose the partitions for both the system and the bootloader I couldn't find see any of the small-sized partitions that are reserved to the system.


All I want help with is someone to look into my partitions and tell me if everything is alright to go ahead with the setup of Ubuntu or not and tell me what to do so I can guarantee that UEFI dual boot will work flawlessly after installing Ubuntu.

It definitely is possible to do a dual boot of Windows 10 with a older version of Windows. There are several steps involved to successfully achieve your objective. For us to resolve your concern, we suggest you follow the step by step process provided by

This covers installing different versions of Windows alongside Windows 10 in a dual boot environment. Take note though to backup any important files that you have before proceeding with any of the steps to prevent any data loss.

UEFI Dual Boot

I have a question guys. Is dual booting possible in laptops with UEFI??? Please Help.

Please follow the steps in the tutorial for how to post the screenshot. I cannot even see Disk 0, 1 and 2 on the drive map, and the columns were not spread so i can see the labels in the listings above even though it lllustates how to do this.

As long as you don't have a UEFI install then you can move the boot loader to Windows 10 so that it manages the Dual Boot using it's menu, add the Dual Boot back from there. These same steps using EasyBCD should do it:
