So I have a new system which has 2 internal drives: a 240GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. I want to install Windows 10 on the SSD and leave the HDD for other things and files to store. MY QUESTION IS: What happens if I install Windows 10 with both internal drives plugged in? In the part where I select the drive on which Windows is installed I can easily distinguish which is the ssd and which is the hard drive. But, even If I select the SSD in the partition menu, is it going to install something on the HDD too? I'm asking this because I read online that if you have 2 or more internal drives plugged in during install, even if you select one of the drives, Windows will somehow install a bootloader or something to another one of the internal drives... Is this avoidable without removing the other drive? Like I just want to install Windows 10 entirely to the SSD without having to unplug the HDD... So If I just select the SSD in the partition menu, is it going to accidentally put something on the Hard drive? I only ONLY want Windows 10 and its system partitions and stuff to be on the SSD..

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
