My PC asks me to activate windows which product key has been wiped off the sticker attached on the back of the PC.I need a help to know the product key which I cannot access anymore.

My product key sticker is damaged and not able to read product key. Bar code numbers are readable and can provide it. This product is for Windows 7 would like to use to upgrade windows 10.

Can you please suggest?

Product key after wiping


Can i still use my product key that microsoft gave to activate window 10 ,after i wipe my hard-drive?...I was thinking about selling my computer......I have already activate window 10 ,but i know after wiping the hard-drive,i would have to reinstall window 10

There is still a way to search for your product key. Kindly follow the steps below for you to know your product key:

• Press Windows key + X
• Click Command Prompt (admin)
• Enter the following command: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
• Then hit Enter

The product key will be revealed, copy the product key then enter it.
