  2. 64 bit and 32 bit

Thats because its making an assumption based on the currently installed operating system. If you want 64 bit, you need to download it directly using the Media Creation Tool or from the Software Download page.

    Learn how:

    Media Creation Tool:

    How
to download official Windows 10 ISO files

    or

    Software Download Page:

Download Windows 10 ISO Files Directly Using Your Web Browser

You can then create a bootable copy, then perform a custom install:

    Step 1:

    Step 2:

  3. "Use the other installation disc that says 64-bit. When you insert it, Windows Setup will restart automatically." Windows 7 to Windows 10 Upgrade failed.

    Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Usually, this error occurs when you try to install or upgrade Windows 10 32 bit version on 64 bit operating system. If you have created a bootable media from a PC running on 32 bit operating system it will download 32 bit ISO.

Have you downloaded the ISO from the same PC which you are trying to upgrade?

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.

    1. Download the ISO from a PC which is running on 64bit architecture and create a bootable media. I suggest you to refer the article under

Using the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) to install Windows 10 on a different PC
for steps to create a bootable media.

    2. After creating a bootable media you can use the created media to upgrade to Windows 10. Refer section
Using the installation media you created for steps to install Windows 10 from the above link.

Note: Upgrading your PC will save all your application and data. I suggest you to take a backup of your data to stay on a safer side.

    Hope it helps.

I want to make a ISO bootable DVD from my PC windows Pro 10 64 bit including WndowsC:System...

Updating from Windows 7 Pro 64-bit to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

I wish to update from Windows 7 Pro 64-bit to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I purchased from Walmart a Windows 10 Pro 64-bit full version DVD. However, when the DVD arrived, it was accompanied by an enclosed notice which contained several warnings including:

    • Save all of your important files, documents, drivers, pictures BEFORE you install this software. This install will clean and erase everything on your PC.
EVERYTHING!!!! You can use this software to "repair" an old install.
    • This OEM software supports refurbished, new and used, branded and non-branded PCs and laptops.
I should add that I have NOT opened the sealed plastic bag containing the DVD, which is in a white paper sleeve. I can see that the DVD has a label stating "Intended for distribution with a refurbished PC". My computer is not refurbished -- it is a fully
    operational machine.

Did I buy the wrong product? I do not wish to lose any data / applications, etc. If I ran the DVD, would I get an opportunity to specify what I wanted to save or is the warning notice accurate? If the warning is accurate, what version of Windows 10 should
I purchase if I want to retain my data / applications?

Thank you for any advice you can give me.
