    I want to make my C:\ drive the default drive


    Hello I am a noob and looking for help to make my C: drive my permanent drive. It always starts off as C:\User.I don't want that. The last independent advisor wasn't patience nor clear. Can some someone better to explain to me, please.

    Default drive permissions

    Hi Jortus

    If you need to reset default permissions on that drive, here are the steps:

    Click your Start Button, then just type cmd

    Form the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

    Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter

    icacls "D:\" /t /q /c /reset

    To answer your question, we cannot tell what applications or programs you can move to other drives. Besides, it is always recommended to have the programs be on their default save drive, which is Drive C. To further assist you with your concern regarding
