    I want to remove gmail from my MS Mail App will the content in Gmail be impacted


    In the MS Mail app, I select Settings -->Manage Account --> Change Settings The option I want to select is Delete this account from this device. When I select this option, I get a message, "If you delete this account, all content associated with it will be removed from this device" Are you sure you want to continue?"Will selecting this option only delete the gmail information in the MS Outlook account? Will it impact any of the content in my active gmail account?I want to be sure of what happens before I select delete. Thank you for you help

    Mail App and Gmail

    Go to the MS Store and update Apps. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Mail and Calendar > Advanced Options > Reset.
    You can also Reinstall.
    I would also go to your Gmail Account via Web Mail and see to settings pages, as they are updating Gmail.

    Gmail works correctly here with Windows 10 Mail, after the 1803 version update, but of course probably a different mail server.

    Potential Solutions

    Based on some quick research there may be two options that may help resolve this. . .

    1. Enable the 2-Step Verification functionality and security feature with your Gmail account and then use the 2-Step Verification to verify and trust the Windows Mail app to have access to your Gmail account
    2. Enable and use the Less Secure Apps functionality by turning that ON and using your usual Gmail account password with the Windows Mail app to authenticate

    Gmail - Getting mails not exactly sent to me

    No one else is getting anyone's mail because of this... It is NOT a bug.
    It is intentional. All those addresses belong to you, no matter where the dot.

    Quoted from GMail help:

    Test it... send yourself an email with no dot in your name.
