    Unable to restore PC to an earlier date

    I have been having problems with Windows 10 updates changing my PC NOT FOR THE BETTER ,so I have been using recovery to restore my PC to an earlier restore point/date .But the last time I tried this my screen went blank then it was suggested that I reset
    my PC so I did ,Problem is I have Windows 10 back but the reset has removed all my Apps and placed them all on a page titled Removed Apps .Ok question can I use this page to put everything back the way it was ?Also If I try to restore the PC back to an earlier
    date I can't go back any earlier than the reset date.

    Hi there,

    I am an independent advisor and a Microsoft user like you, and I would be happy to help you out with this.

    Depending on the type of issue, there are different suggested methods to recover. However, I would suggest starting with "Restore from a system restore point"

    I would highly recommend backing up your important files before proceeding with any of these options.

    If you have System Restore points, this would likely be the best way to restore it to an earlier date.

    1. In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, and then choose it from the list of results

    2. In the Control Panel search box, type recovery.

    3. Select Recovery > Open System Restore.

    4. In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next.

    5. Select the restore point that you want to use in the list of results, and then select Scan for affected programs.

    6. You'll see a list of items that will be deleted if you remove this restore point. If you're OK with the deletions, select Close> Next > Finish.
