Windows 10: i want to sell pc after motherboard swap

so i want to sell my prebuilt pc it has window 11 home and i replaced motherboard and reinstalled window and checked if window is activated and it activated so my question is when someone buy the pc and longed in will window no longer be activatealso can i erase my personal files with usb media window to sell the pc Thank you

Duplicate Devices Shown After Motherboard Swap

Hello,

I recently swapped my motherboard and clean installed Windows 10 (Education Student Edition) on my desktop. In my account page on Microsoft.com I am now being shown two (2) PCs, the current one with the new motherboard and the old one with the old mother
board (no longer assembled). The format for both of them is listed as follows:

PC NAME

MS-1234

Serial #: To be filled by O.E.M.**

Windows 10 Education

(10.0.12345.67)

**The old PC has nothing listed as the serial #.

Now, there is an option to simply remove the PC from my account. What I'm concerned with here is if that is the correct choice without needing to do anything else. What I mean is, on the old motherboard is my OS still installed and if I delete the old PC
from my account could it cause potential problems in the future? Thank you four your time and guidance.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??
