Windows 10: I want to set a registry and and I want to put the current date time in this key also, can...

I want to add a registry key:"HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Note\****pany\Components" /v OOBE_Version /t REG_SZ /d "01 Jun 22 12:00" /fThis is what I have now but I have to manually change the time. Is there anyway I can change the time to have it pull what the computer time/date is.Thanks

The current Date and Time is not stored in the registry, that is stored on a chip on your motherboard and maintained by the CMOS battery on your motherboard.

Can you please explain the difficulty you are experiencing and we can help with that . .

Or are you looking to find the system date and time format stored in the registry?

I suggest you to change the Date and Time format from Control Panel and check. Also select the time zone as UTC-5.00 Eastern Time.


After changing the setting, I suggest you to set “Windows Time” service as automatic. Follow the steps provided below.

• Press Windows logo Key + R key.
• Type services.msc
• Right click on Windows Time service.
• Select Properties.
• Under startup type drop down, change it to Automatic.
• Click on Apply button and OK button.

Restart your computer and check.
