Windows 10: I want to show sub-folder documents in file explorer

I am setting up libraries in Windows 10 version 1909. In Windows 7 I had 4 top-level folder locations in my Documents library, most have subfolders.

When I view my Document library in Windows 7 File Explorer, I display using Detail view, grouped and sorted by modified date. It shows all documents in all Library locations, including sub folders. I add the 'Folder Path' column to see which subfolder has the document.

In Windows 10 File Explorer, I can see documents in the top-level folders only, I can not see contents of sub-folders. How can I get this to work for me in Windows 10 like it did in Windows 7?

If you're having trouble seeing your personal documents, it might be caused by a file corruption. We suggest following the steps provided by Pavan_N in this

Managing the ‘Shortcuts’ to my Folders and Documents in File Explorer

I have (literally) hundreds of Folders, Sub-Folders, Sub-sub-Folders (etc.) and (literally) thousands of Files (Documents) in my (Windows) File Explorer.

Very often I need to have the same document in more than one Folder or Sub-Folder.

So what I do is create ‘Shortcuts’ of the File (Document) and place them in the Folders or Sub-folders where I need to keep exact duplicates.

Now very often, or it is not uncommon for me, to change the names and order of my Folders and Sub-Folders.

Sometimes when I make ‘big’ changes, then the Shortcuts stop working or in other words, the links to the Shortcuts are broken.

How do I manage my many Shortcuts?

Is there some way I can keep track of my (many) Shortcuts in (Windows) File Explorer?

File Explorer Sort Customization

Louie - thank you for the feedback. However, I'm still struggling to accomplish my objective. I have extensive document files separated into folders with sub-folders and sub-sub-folders. Within each folder or sub-folder there are generally a dozen or more
sub-sub folders and 50-200 files that are not grouped. In opening File Explorer, I'd like to see categories or folders listed above files and have each section listed by date modified. In other words, folders A - Z listed by date modified followed by files,
again listed by date modified. Within each folder, sub-folders listed by date modified followed by files, again listed by date modified.

I've had success accomplishing this type of listing in prior versions of Windows but haven't gotten the hang of it in Windows 10. Any insight would be much appreciated. Thank you.
