    I'm trying to move my current volume of Windows 10 which is on my hard drive to my new solid state drive, however there is already a version of windows 10 that is inactivated on that SSD. I sent my computer to a repair store to let them install the SSD, along with a new motherboard and CPU, however it came back with a version of Windows 10 on it. I don't need this version of windows 10, and it's inactivated so its not very useful to me. I would like to know how to uninstall this version of windows on the SSD without completely wiping the thing, as there are seemingly important drivers on there for my CPU, and other things. I would also like to know if it is possible to move my current version of Windows 10 from the hard drive I'm currently using to my new SSD. I have a digital license linked with my Microsoft account Not a product key on my current version of Windows 10.

    Replacing a laptop hard drive with a SSD

    I have a Dell Latitude E5420 laptop which has a Windows 10 Pro O/S. I would appreciate a step by step guide on the procedure to replace the hard drive with a Solid State drive; specifically dealing with the transfer of all the software from the old drive to the new. I have an external hard drive I use for backups and a free version of the Macrium Reflect program on the hard drive. The SSD is brand new. I have just 50 GB in total on the 231 GB hard drive. The SSD has 250 GB capacity.
