Windows 10: I want to turn off the notifications area in my surface,

I want to turn off the notifications area in my surface, I went into my registry and got all the way to the policy area but the only option is default reg-sz value not set, there is no 'explorer' option to let me get to NoTrayItemsDisplay and turn this notification taskbar OFF, if you have ever used photoshop you know that full screen the notification bar is OVER the bottom slider on your picture, thanks microsoft for once again making a piece of junk, good job...

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

 

How to remove the Notification Area on the right of the screen

Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

• Type Taskbar Notification area on Search and hit
  Enter.
• Under Taskbar you may Turn off notifications as per your requirement.
• Under Notification area click on Select which icons to appear on Taskbar
  also Turn system icon on or off and you may Turn off notifications as per your requirement.

Startup and Notification area

R]I ran this batch file, but it did not help (which I understand, because Task Manager > Processes does NOT show WinDates).

I am back to the conclusion that Win 10 can run WinDates manually, but not automatically at startup (via link). If I double-click on the link C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\WinDates.lnk, WinDates opens fine.

My next step will be to run a scan of system files to see if something is corrupt. However, any other suggestions are welcome.
