Windows 10: I want to uninstall update KB598242

I just performed a clea re-installation of windows 10 from a USB. I got all my files back using file history and things were great. I started creating restore points before I did anything. Well all was good until 2021-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10.....KB4598242 .......after that installation it restarted and my computer is running so slow. I am unable to uninstall the updaten using the "unuinstall an update" because it is not listed. I have had 2 unsuccessful restoring to points before the update was pereformed.

How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
