  1. I want to use external HDD to back up separate different windows PCs by moving it between them.

I have several Windows 10 PCs and a single 5TB external HDD for backup. When I try to move it between machines and do image backup on each, the backups work, but the folders show up as empty except on the very first PC I connected the HDD to. No tries of "take ownership" etc worked. I don't want to share it over a network, because it's slow. How to make it work? Or, if backup was successful using the "old win 7 backup" on an "alien" HDD, will it recover from it OK, even if the folder shows as empty on the machine the backup was done.

    :)
