Windows 10: I want to use my own copy of MS Office

I have a licensed copy of MS Office 2007 that I've been using for years. I just got a new Windows 10 Pro desktop and let the trial version of Office 365 expire. I installed my Office 2007 - which I like MUCH better and it opened fine. The next time I turned this machine on, Office 365 opens with most functions disabled because it hasn't been 'activated'.

I don't want to activate it; I just want my own copy of Office.

How do I solve this?

Quicken & MS Office 2010

I understand the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will definitely assist you.

Try the commands and check if the MS Office is available on your computer. Try the below steps:

• 
  Press Windows + R and type winword.exe
  and hit enter.
  
• 
  If MS word open up MS Office is available on the system.
  

If not, you have to install it again from the store.

Time to update MS Office

I won't argue with the knowing where everything is. But I do enjoy a lot of the new additions from 2007 and later.

I won't ever go the way of the subscription based version. That's why I've avoided 365.

When I got my copy of 2003, it was right after 2007 released. I got a Student copy of 2003 off newegg for cheap - was around $50. I was hoping I could find something similar with 2010. I don't expect to find anything real cheap for 2013, but I want to keep my options open.
