Windows 10: I want to wipe my SSD before giving it to someone

So basically i want to give this laptop to someone and i want to wipe SSD for privacy . When i try to find the manufacturer of my SSD it shows -Shows me "Standard disk drives" and when i tried to check the status of my SSD in crystal disk info , it shows me -> So can someone suggest me a software to wipe my SSD ?

Re-using old drives, how to wipe and re-use

Hello All,

I am building a new PC, everything is new except I am keeping my old ssd and hdd. Windows 10 is currently installed on my ssd. Before I transfer everything over and do a fresh windows 11 install, the plan was to

• backup and save data on a usb,
  
• then deactivate windows,
  
• then wipe the drives.
  

I plan on re-using the windows 10 key for another pc I have that I am building for a family member. Is this the steps I need to do or is there an easier way/ steps I am missing?

 

How can you wipe a SSD

Hey guys

So my friend has a 250gb with win8 on it. I am giving him my 128gb SSD but it already has win 7 with a load of drivers on it. How can I wipe the SSD completely so that I can reinstall a fresh copy of win 7 on it?

 

Completely wipe an SSD including Windows 10

If I plug the SSD into my new PC, will the 2 versions of Windows 10 on each of them clash and cause an issue?

And once I put the SSD into my new PC, how would I go about completely wiping its contents and Windows 10 off of it?

- Open File Explorer and go to the "This PC" section

- Right-click the drive you want to erase and choose "Format" in the list

- Use the default settings and just click OK to format (erase) the drive
