I want to wipe my Windows 10 PC clean before recycling it. I follow the recovery instructions but it wants a reinstall disk before it starts cleaning anything. Where/how do I get a recovery disk? Or bypass this step?

Hi, to clean install Windows you need to create a bootable flash drive or other medium from which to boot your PC. That's covered at Step 1 of the tutorial shown below (Clean Install..)

At step 13/14 you have the option presented to you where you can delete existing partitions.

Note: some suggest- as you have a desktop- physically disconnecting other drives just to ensure Windows is installed exclusively on the one drive.

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Lost Recycle Bin in Windows 10

• In the Desktop Icon Settings dialog box, do one of the following: To hide the Recycle Bin, clear the Recycle Bin check box. ...
