Windows 10: I wanted to change my pin upon doing so a message appeared saying something happened your...

Am unable to login into my laptop. A message is appearing indicating that "something happened your PIN isn't available. Set your new pin again" but when I click on the option button nothing is happening.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to reset the password and check if it helps.

You can reset your PIN by going to Settings >Accounts >
Sign-in options and clicking on “I forgot my PIN”.

Note: that the PINs for all users on the device must be reset this way for any PIN.

I suggest you to go through the below steps and check if it helps.

Follow these steps to set up a PIN on your Windows User Account:

• 
  Press the Windows +S key combination to display the Search box.
  
• 
  Type the word pin into the Search box, then click
  Set up PIN sign-in.
  
• 
  Find the “PIN” section and click the Add button.
  
• 
  Type in the password for your User Account, then click the
  Ok button.
  
• 
  Select and enter a 4 digit numeric pin, then enter it again for confirmation.
  
• 
  Exit the PIN setup utility.
  

From now on you’ll be able to log in to your Windows account by entering your 4 digit PIN instead of your password.



You can change your PIN at any time by following the steps below:

•

Windows 10 Change password to pin

I get an error message when trying to change from password to pin.

The message just says an error has occured and to try again later.

This has been goíng on for weeks.

I do not want to restore the system or start messing around with code.

I just want it to work.

Any normal suggestions out there?
