Windows 10: I was charged for a product in the microsoft store but never recieved it.

Look i bought the hevc encoder the charge went through my bank and in the end it says error occured and microsoft has a very horrible customer support that makes u guys help me instead of them

Microsoft store extra charged me

Hi all,

I am from Hong Kong, I want to finish a in app purchase through Microsoft store, the purchase has not successfully, but the store charges me twice, can anyone help?

• I tried to contact Microsoft support, but they aren't replying, keep getting "Please visit the Microsoft Store support site to get in touch with an agent." with a useless link that can't open.

• The purchase is my account's first time purchase through Microsoft Store, but I don't see any refund back to my card account after the store testify my card.

• I also can't find the "refund" button of the 2 charged fee I mention for my account, I notice I got charged is though my payment app notification.

 

Battery Won't Charge Fully

Make sure to install all Windows important updates.

Install latest versions of your laptop device drivers you can download the latest device drivers from the device manufacturer or from your laptop manufacturer website.


Step 1

1. Shutdown your laptop.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Connect the AC power adapter to your laptop.

4. Power on the laptop

5. Open the Device Manager by typing Devmgmt.msc into Start Menu or from Control Panel.

6. Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s ok if you only have 1).





7. Shutdown the laptop.

8. Insert the battery.

9. Power on the laptop.

If above suggestions wont resolve the battery charge issue then follow below steps.




Step 2

1. Shutdown the laptop.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Start the laptop with only AC adapter connected to laptop.

4. When you login to Windows OS connect the battery while Windows OS working.





Step 3

Reset the System Management Controller. Use one of these methods to reset the SMC, which controls battery management, battery status light.

1. Shut down the computer and disconnect the power cord.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Press and hold the power button for ten seconds.

4. Reattach the battery and AC power adapter, then start up the laptop.


Hopefully one of the above suggestions will help you resolve the battery not charging problem. If battery still doesn't charge, you may need to replace your battery.

 

Microsoft to Open a Chain of Retail Stores for its Products

Actually i agree with newtekie1, microsoft's prices seem pretty reasonable considering the amount of people behind the products they sell and the customer service behind them, so make that 2 particles of sand, soon there will be a sandstorm.

I'd really like to see some microsoft stores, their business model would be the same as pcworld here in the uk selling complete oem pcs as well as microsoft software and hardware, so they should be able to sell enough to be profitable(similar margins on the oem pcs sold, however for each pc sold microsoft already gets liscence money for the windows liscence on the machine, so the stores don't need margins as big as other oem pc brick and mortar stores, possibly leading to lower prices).

Would also be nice to see copies of windows 64bit OSs without the stupid premium the stores put on them, they cost the same to the store but they decide that because it's 64bit they should charge more...:shadedshu
