Windows 10: I was resetting my computer and it’s been stuck in a place for hours now it’s not even...

My computer has been stuck resetting for hours and it’s not even showing the percentage anymore, should I force shut it down? HELP PLEASE.

Hi,

Windows reset does not have a specific time on when it will be finished. It depends on how many updates and setting the system has to reset. What we suggest is that you let it finish installing. However, if there will still be no changes, try these steps:

• Hard boot your PC three to four times (hard boot can be achieved by holding the power key for 8 to 10 seconds then power it on and powering it off again)
• You should enter Windows Automatic Repair Options.
• Try making a clean reset from the repair options.

If this still doesn't work, then we suggest that you do a clean install of Windows. Refer to this

Resetting this PC stuck at 41%,, I have been stuck at 41% for the last 7 hours

Resetting this PC stuck at 36% I have been stuck at 41% for the last 7 hours during PC resetting operation. I just received a old Laptop from Asus and I had barely used it for 2 weeks. I had a couple of files and programs on this PC such as Chrome browser. I made a stupid mistake of resetting this PC before returing this to Asus. I did not anticipate this to get stuck and now its just getting annoying. Any idea when this will complete? Any fixes? I do not have any backups or a second computer to download any thing as some of the posts suggest. OS:Windows 10(64bit) English

 

Windows 10 Full reset stuck at 99% for over 4 hours os this normal?

• Is the Windows 10 reset still stuck at 99%?
• Were you facing any issues for which you are performing a reset?
• Did you restart the computer manually and see if you receive any error message?
• What is the make and model of the computer?
• How did you install Windows 10 operating system?

If you have not restarted the computer, you may try to restart in and check if you get any error.



If you are able to login to Desktop, I would suggest you to make sure you have all the updates installed and drivers updated.
