I wish to have photos of landscapes around the world show when I turn on my computer. and before logging in. How do I do that? The ones I had suddenly disappeared, Now, when I turn on my laptop, I see only the space to sign in. Before the photos disappeared the sign-in slot was surrounded by a beautiful countryside photo from someplace around the world. I do not know the source of the photos.

Landscape photos

I have tried and failed to get the beautiful landscape photos provided automatically most days by Microsoft when I log in each day. Any suggestions please.

 

Individual photos in my files are all defaulted to landscape now (even if they are formated as a portrait)

I generally open photos from the file explorer where they are on the c drive. But on your prompting I looked at them in Photo Viewer and they are all landscapes there as well.

Also I have the desktop set up to show some photo files as a slide show, they are all turned to landscape there too.

 

why does the photos app pickup face book pictures?

Photos app only serves as a viewer for your Photos on your Facebook account. It will only save on your computer if you download it manually. To address your concern about deleting photos, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open the Photos app.
• Select the photos you wish to delete by clicking the checkbox on the photo.
• Click the Delete icon at the top right corner of the window.
