I have talked to IT several times and no one can seem to help me stop my pc from going into idle mode. I have sleep mode to never. I work from home through two remote desktops and if I am not using my keyboard and just in a training class for example everything freezes. I have learned that if I do walk away I lock my computer and then when I come back I can get back in. The problem is if I am not doing anything it goes idle. I was in a training class today. I was just watching the instructor and I ended up missing a lot of training because my pc would freeze. The only way I could fix th

Remote desktop connection freezes while using any other window

I understand that the remote desktop session freezes when the session is in idle mode. Couple of our users were able to fix the issue by disabling the audio that comes from the Remote session. I suggest you to try disabling the audio for the remote
desktop and check if that helps in resolving the issue. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Press and hold Windows key + R, to open
   Run box.
   
2. Type mstsc and click on OK.
   
3. Now, click con Show Options.
   
4. Click on Local Resources.
   
5. Click on Settings.
   
6. Click on Do not play.
   
7. Click on OK and try using the Remote connection now.
   

If the issue persists, I would suggest you to post your query in TechNet forums,
where we have support professionals who are well equipped with the knowledge on Remote Desktop connection.

Remote Desktop not working

First off, im unbanned wooo

I'm trying to use logmein pro to get windows remote desktop setup for my main computer back home, its 8.1 pro and the remote desktop option in the computer properties is activated. (Also the remote port has been changed in the reg as I have a home server that I remote to as well which works fine). All ports have been forwarded and there's no firewall issues.

The issue is I just completely cannot connect to it using remote desktop. Is this due to logmein being installed? I don't want to uninstall it to test my theory and then be completely cutoff from the pc for 2 months if I'm wrong.

Have you done the steps provided above on the Windows 10 computer?

See the steps below:

• Press Windows key.
• Type Allow remote access to your computer.
• On the Remote tab,under Remote Assistance, check Allow Remote Assistance connections to this computer.
• Under Remote Desktop, check Allow remote connections to this computer.
  
• Click OK.
