    I would like to disable or set a limit on standby Memory.


    I have been using RamMap to remove StandBy Memory for a long time and it works fine bu

    I already know that StandBy memory is memory that is available, but I also know that when running VM those VM run a lot faster when I clear the StandBy memory.

    I am looking for a how to limit or turn off StandBy memory solution and not why it does not matter answer.

    Hello Guys,

    Does someone knows how can be disabled standby RAM or set limit for maximum standby RAM size?

    I don't need dumb solutions for cleaning standby RAM because it immediately starts to increase again until occupy all free RAM

    Releasing Standby memory

    This is the first I have heard of any issues with Standby list memory causing issues outside of games.
    I know there were a lot of reports around 1809 of games having issues where the standby list didn't release memory and games would stutter. There are a few programs that can clear up this issue. I have used both and they do work but I only used it for games, never noticed any issues in windows applications.
    ISLC (Intelligent standby list cleaner) by Wagnarsoft and Processlasso by Bitsum can clear the standby list automatically.
