Email "From Address" name in Outlook Email

I recently purchased a Samsung SCH-i760 running Windows Mobile. I am having trouble configuring the email account. It works fine - downloads email from my pop server, sends and receives, etc. The only problem is that when it sends an email, the "from
name" looks funny. Instead of displaying my name, it displays my phone number. Here is an example header of an email sent from my phone:



From: 8315551212 <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>

To: Jane Doe <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>,

Date: Wed, Mar 19, 2008 at 4:20 PM

Subject: test



The problem here is the From field: 8315551212 <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>



It's got the email address correct, *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is my email address, but instead of displaying my name as John Doe, it displays my phone number. I want the from header to look like this:



John Doe <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>



I've played with all the settings and looked in every menu and I cannot figure out how to fix this! I know this is very easy on a regular computer running outlook (just change the display name of the email account), but I can't figure it out on the mobile
device.



Help!

 

Multiple Contact Lists attributed to same email address in Outlook

On Contacts page in Outlook, two contacts lists exist with the same email address. One shows name on the top line, the other shows email address. Contact lists are similar but not the same. How can we merge the contact lists into one and eliminate duplicates?

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.
