I would like to remove the pin password requirement to login to my hp laptop. The options to remove is grayed out therefore i cannot select this option.

REMOVE PIN AND PASSWORD REQUIREMENT PERMANENTLY

I purchased a new laptop and after setting it up with no option during the setup to decline a password and PIN I finally got to use it. Now Win 11 WILL NOT let me remove the password or pin requirements. I DO NOT want a password OR a pin to sign in. I simply wish to open my laptop while it sits on my desk and go right to work. I have tried each and every solution available online to remove them to no avail. In all this frustration I have forgotten the login password and can not get any further in settings than the requirement to enter your password to change settings. So, DO NOT Tell me I must reset the entire laptop and lose everything on it in order to set up the laptop again without a password or PIN. You did not give me the option to NOT use a password or PIN from the beginning. SO, HOW DO I REMOVE THIS REQUIREMENT? HOW DO I RECOVER OR CHANGE THE PASSWORD ON THE LAPTOP? JUST WHAT HOOPS AND HAND SIGNALS< CODE WORDS AND BLOOD SAMPLES DOES MICROSOFT NEED TO FIX THIS??????

 

Remove sign in pin

I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

• In the search box type sign-in-option.
• Click on the sign-in-option.
• Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
• There you can remove the option and check.

Cannot remember password and PIN to login

Hi,

As per the query, I would like to inform that you require to create a password prior to the creation of the PIN. If you remember the password, click on the sign-in options under the password box in the login screen.

If you forgot your Microsoft account password,
follow these steps.

If you don’t have a Microsoft account and forgot your local account password,
you can’t recover it. Instead, you’ll need to reset your PC.

Warning: Following these steps will remove all of your data, programs, and settings.

• Start your PC and select the Power icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the lock screen.
• While holding down the Shift key, select Restart.
• On the Boot options menu, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything.
• Your PC will restart and will reset itself.
