Windows 10: I would love to go back to 7

my computer auto update to windows 10 while i was out of the country. now the 30 days to go back are up and HP didnt send any recovery disc when I bought this new computer just over a yr ago. I would love to go back to 7 and have the act. code, but its no good with microsoft because it came on the computer. anyway now my sound dont work and I hate the photo editing with 10. Any help please?

I upgraded to Windows 10 and would like to go back to Windows 8.1, I cannot find the option to downgrade in the recovery for windows 8.1.

Contact your computer manufacturer's technical support and ask them how to restore the factory image. This will restore your computer to the way it was when you first brought it home.

Set aside a full day, because you'll need the time to read and absorb the instructions, then setup Windows 8.1 again, then run Windows Update, then re-install all your programs, then restore your data.

You might find it in your better interests to learn how to use Windows 10. There are piles of instructions on the internet written at every level, including (thank you!) for dummies.

Too bad you didn't make a disk image backup of your hard drive before switching to Windows 10. You could have been back at Windows 8.1 in about 15 minutes as if nothing happened. Next time.

Is the a Certificate of Authenticity sticker on the computer anywhere that has a Windows 7 Product Key printed on it?

 

If you have a Win 7 COA sticker with a readable key you can do a clean install of Win 7.

Take your time and read through the tutorials so you understand what you need to do.

It sounds like you just need the proper audio drivers installed, plus whatever program you normally use to edit photos. Should be simple solutions.
