Windows 10: I2C controller power management issue

I have met a problem, my laptop won't wake up from sleep if I don't uncheck the power management setting "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" of Intel Serial I/O I2C controller - 9D60 there are 3 of them, 9D60, 9D61 and 9D62. Since a recent update, the setting keep rest to check the option "Allow to... save power" after every reboot/start up. Since there is no update from intel, i guess this is a windows issue. Fingerprint issue/Power Management

already tried the credentials service one, not of any help. I guess the only fix is from the power management tab

1. Press Windows Key + X and choose Device Manager from the list

2. When Device Manager opens, locate your fingerprint reader. It should be located in Biometric Devices section.

3.Right click your fingerprint reader and choose Properties

4. Navigate to Power Management tab and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

5. Click OK to save changes.


I want to follow this step but I cannot find the power management tab.

 

Windows 10 power issue

I suggest you to follow the steps bellow and check if it helps

Method 1: Hardware Troubleshoot

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with power. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Power.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Power troubleshooter

Method 2: I suggest you to update drivers and check if that helps. If that issue persist please uninstall and reinstall latest drivers available in manufacturer website. Both Display
driver and Audio drivers.

• Press “Windows + X” and select Device manger.
• Select Display Adapter and expand the driver icon.
• Right click on the driver icon and click on Update.
• Follow the onscreen instructions to update the driver.
