Windows 10: I2C HID Device Error Code 10 & Touchscreen Not Working

The touchscreen on my Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 stopped working yesterday. It was before I installed the cumulative update, so I assumed I could update the computer, and the problem would be fixed. However, my touchscreen still did not respond. I first checked Device Manager. There was a Code 10 error on one of two I2C HID Devices. Here are some screenshots:





I have already tried to update the driver, but there are no updates available.

What can be done to fix this?

Uninstalled KMDF HID Minidriver for Touch I2C Device


I recently upgraded to windows 10, and have had problems with my touchscreen driver. When I touched on the screen or on a capacitive button, the area of the screen that the actual finger touch effected was less than the total area of the screen. On boundaries random things happened. I uninstalled a "KMDF HID Minidriver for Touch I2C Device" driver, which has obviously stopped the touchscreen from working. I'm using a Chuwi Vi10, but this is probably irrelevant. I already have another one that is working perfectly, also running windows 10. It lists both a "HID-compliant touch screen" and the "KMDF HID Minidriver for Touch I2C Device" that the other tablet does not have. I can't find a way to reinstall this driver, as every time the automatic driver update search for the unknown device fails, and I can't find the manufacturer (Silead) on the list of drivers.

Any ideas on how I could get the working driver of the working (identical) tablet on the driverless one? Essentially I just need to be able to get the touchscreen working which is the only thing not functioning after the update to windows 10. I haven't been able to roll back to windows 8 either.

I have got Asus UX360UAK. Last month touchscreen and touchpad stopped working. In device manager is following error: Device: I2C Controller Device status: Can't run this device(code 10) A request for the HID descriptor
failed. I tried restart, update driver and system update but it didn't helped. i tryied everything i know. Please help!
