Windows 10: I2C HID Device - Not Starting - Code 10

Hey there,I am not exactly a computer professional and I am having a problem that I cannot find the solution to. I have read through several 10-15 threads here at microsoft.com also Discord channels for Razer PC, and AMD Community help. I have spoken with the IT team at my workplace and I am still unable to find he solution. Thank you in advance for any help and insight. I have a Razer Blade 14

Touchscreen not working - I2C HID Device Code 10

Please help,

My notebook touchscreen was playing up before (tapping a few times before it responded). I decided to restart and now it doesn't work at all. Device Manager says I2C HID Device (which the HID Touchscreen and Pen are 'on') is on code 10 - Device cannot start. Tried:

• Restart - no luck
  
• SFC - no luck
  
• Remove device - no luck
  
• Update device driver (Error codes in Device Manager in Windows (microsoft.com)) - No luck - can't even update because I get the same CODE 10!!!
  
• Restarting even MORE - no luck
  
• Checking web - Other people had same problem but was not resolved.
  
• Installing I/O driver - it's 'on' Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - 9D61 (you can look at the website here: Product Support for Acer Switch 5| Acer Australia)

Touch screen stops working -I2C HID device error

I have a LG gram laptop 16T90P-KAAE7UI running windows 11. In the last few months, touch screen has been intermittely stopping working. The device manager always showed there was an error in I2C HID device - This device cannot start (code 10). Usually, I could recover by doing one of the following things:

• disabling and enabling the device,
  
• simply rebooting the system or
  
• uninstalling the device and then restart the laptop.
  

Today, after pushing the sleep button on the side of the laptop and then pushing it again to wake up the laptop, touch screen completely stopped working. None of the methods mentioned above works. Touch screen function refues to work and device manager always shows that I2C HID device cannot start (code 10). The following message appeared with recovery attempts

• A request for the HID descriptor failed (most often), or
  
• The device failed the SET_POWER command, or
  
• One byte was expected in the report descriptor but not found
  

I also did update from Windows update and LG update center. All things have been updated to date. No luck to make touch screen work again.

Touchpad always works without issue. What else can I do to fix the I2C HID device error and bring touch screen back to work?

Hi, For some time I've been experiencing some touchpad-related problems, it stopped working multitouch/multi-finger touch after a time of use, but after the restart, the touchpad started working again, but the issue was still happening. So I decided to take a look in the drivers and found I2C HID Device (This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed.) with yellow markings, then started disabling, enabling and Uninstalling HID device from device manager and restarted, still it did not work, then, I have taken support from Dell executives and they took online sessions and it worked. but after four or five days it started again I tried everything they(Dell online support Executive) suggested to me. Now I don't know what to do. I just wanted to use a functional touchpad, now. I installed and updated all the drivers, and windows update is up to date, but still no use My machine is a Dell Inspiron 15 7591 2 in 1.
