  1. i7/7700k CPU in win 11..

I have been reading comments on how "incompatible" supposed to be and I`m still waiting for "issues" to crop up since I installed Win 11 over 10 back in October 2021..I build my P.C`s will never purchase what I can build my way and I use win 11 both home and Pro dualboot on 5 year old with unsupported i7/7700k all other requirements met p.c. plus new build which has all basic requirements and installed win 11 pro..Maybe I am fortunate or techs here going by a "script" full of hogwash ?? as they are aware most people don`t know much about computers if at all..Again,, Still waiting for "Issues"

    :)

I want to upgrade to Windows 11 but my CPU, which is a i7 7700k, is not supported according to PC Health Check. I do not mind waiting for the Windows 11 to become compatible with my CPU to upgrade to it, but I am really scared the free upgrade will expire and I do not want to lost out. I cant afford, probably till late next year, to upgrade my CPU. Should the free upgrade to Windows 11 still be available? If not, what is going to happen?

  3. Win 11 support for Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2,70GHz

    Hi,

My Lenovo laptop has much more capacity than lot of other laptop that you support Win 11 on. 2 core Intel i7 CPU, 16 GB ram & 512 GB SSD.

I would like to upgrade to Win 11 but the CPU Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2,70GHz

is not supported. Newer weaker CPU's are supported.

Can I install Win 11 on Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2,70GHz now?

Or when will you support that CPU?

    Br,

    Martin

    i7/7700k CPU in win 11..

Can my laptop run Windows 11 on Intel Core i7 7700HQ?

That link seems to contain misinformation.

In addition, Microsoft has also reduced the CPU requirements of Windows 11. They have recently added support for Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake architecture Core CPUs to the list of CPU requirements. This is a great way for users who are still using the i7-7700K with older and more robust CPUs.

Not true. The only 7th generation Intel Core processors added are three Core i7 78xx, and then also five Core i9 79xx. They "reduced" nothing, as far as I know. You still need the same hardware security features as you did from the beginning.

The Intel Core i7 7700K is not listed, in the official Microsoft list. I've see other such bogus information, including that some of the 7th generation Core i5 processors were added, but I have no idea where that information comes from. The list from Microsoft is the one to go by.
