Windows 10: iball 3.5g connect usb modem driver failed

I have windows 10 pro 64 bit. Whenever i tried connecting iball 3.5g connect usb modem , it never detected sim and was getting message that driver installation failed.

To solve this.

1. Remove all softwares related to this modem
2. Connect ur iBall USB modem
3. Let the software install. Its ok, even if driver fails
4. Now download rar file fromthis link
5. http://admin.iball.co.in/File/Product/Drivers/Utility%20for%20WIN8.rar
6. Install file called "Modem_installation"
   1. Then go to path "C:\Program Files x86\iBall 3.5G Wireless Modem 3.0\Driver"
   2. You should see all the fodders related to your operating system
7. Now we will open device manager
8. press windows + X
9. click on device manager
10. check for Yellow balloon or section called Other Devices
11. Right click and seclet Update driver software
12. Click On Browse my computer for driver software
13. Now go till the path mentioned in step 6 ->1
14. Select the folder which belong to your operating system
15. click ok
16. Done

This should sove your problem and SIM should be detected. You need to follow this procedure 4 times, as there are 4 diffrent components /hardwares.

I suggest you to check if you are seeing any yellow exclamation mark against the drivers in Device Manager. Follow the steps below:

1. Right click on the Start Menu
and select Device Manager.

2. Now see if there are yellow exclamation marks against the iBall
3.5G connect usb modem device.

3. If yes, then try to update the drivers by right clicking in the driver and select
Update driver.

If you are unable to update the drivers from device manager, I suggest you to visit the manufacturer website and try to install the latest drivers or you can contact the manufacturer to know about the latest drives.

USB Modem not working in windows 10

Hi Harkanwar,

I tried your method 1, but didn't get the desired result. The second method was not possible as there is no driver for windows 10 specifically on iball website, neither it has been bundled with other versions in a single driver.

But my problem was resolved. What i did was i went to
device manager and located driver of my usb modem in usb controller
by inserting and ejecting my usb modem. Then i uninstalled the driver. I
reinstalled it manually by giving it the path C:\Program Files (x86)\iBall Airway 21.0MP-58\Driver\Win8_64
(the path of its earlier driver). The driver came back in the usb controller list and also while clicking connect option in iball modem window, it got connected. Kudos!!! The solution i was looking for was so simple but i didn't know
this.
