Windows 10: ICC Color Profile Resetting each hardware issues or after sleep mode

Hello, I have been looking about a solution for a problem setting the Display Color Profile that I want. In my case I used a monitor calibrator and want to use the generated color profile and Windows still refuses to use it. Every time I go to sleep or play a game or some kind of situation occurs with the hardware, the profile is reset. Sure, you like me have followed the recommendations of Microsoft in the forums, you have defined the color profile you want by default in Color Management and despite that it does not work for you



I got the same problem and I think I already solved it. Was by mistake, but I found a solution. In the Search Bar in Windows 10 just type "size", and then click on "Change the size of text, apps or other items . A new window pops up, so, at the left side of that window click on "Display", then at the right side you will see "color profile". Choose the color profile you want. I dont know why in color adjustments Windows dont take the default color profile I set. But doing here it will fix the switching between other ICC profiles. Good Luck! I hope it helps to you.

HDR mode and color profiles

I have a calibrated ICC profile for normal sRGB mode. When i switch to HDR mode, it still using the calibrated profile, and giving weird colors and white balance.

I have tried to add a Rec.2020 HDR profile to ICC-profile (Advance color) list in color management. But I can´t use it at standard colors in HDR mode. Nothing happens when i try to applied it.

So to be clear:

In normal mode I want to use calibrated icc profile for sRGB.

And in HDR mode, using the standard REC.2020 icc profile.

I ran into this problem with icc profiles and Photoshop. Had to reset the default icc profile on every start or Photoshop would give me an invalid profile description error. Using a Dell with Windows 10. For me, the culprit was Dell Premier Color. Uninstalled
it, and problem was resolved.
