ICC profiles ignored under Color Management app in Windows 10.

I'm having two issues here using Windows 10.

    1. When I do the "Identify" under Display settings I see that DELL monitor is numbered as 1 and BenQ is numbered as 2.

At the same time under Color Management next to a "Device" is says that BenQ is 1 and Dell is 2.

What is going on and how do I fix it?

    2. Windows keeps ignoring all profiles under Color Management. For example, I have 3 drastically different profiles. When I set each on as default there is no change in color at all. Why is it doing so?

    :)

  2. Color Management Windows 10

Since the last Windows 10 ver 1703 cumulative update, under Color Management>Advanced> the "Reload Current Calibrations" button is grayed out. Also if I change the default ICC profile to an non-calibrated ICC, there is no visual change in the color of
my displays. Is Windows really applying my calibrated ICC profile that I created? It doesn't appear so. Also the monitors listed in Color Management aren't exactly the same as the ones listed in Display Settings. Does Windows 10 know what the other
hand is doing? They are both apps of Windows 10.

  3. Unable to load custom ICC color profile in Windows 10

My monitor requires a custom ICC color profile to display correctly. Under Windows 8.1, I was able to load this using the Color Management utility. After upgrading to Windows 10, the utility appears the same, however, I'm unable to load the profile.

The process I've been using is:

    • open Color Management
    • Under the "Advanced" tab, click "Change system defaults"
    • Under the "Devices" tab, click "Add..."
    • Click "Browse..." in the popup window and locate the custom profile file and click "add"
Then nothing happens. Under Windows 8.1, the custom profile would appear under the list of "Profiles associated with this device", but not in Windows 10.

    Any fixes for this?

Photos App is still not color managed

    Hi Sebastian,

There may be a need to look into the color management settings on your computer to apply the ICC profiles. For us to sort out this issue, we would like to know the following:

    • Since when did you notice this problem?
    • Have you performed any updates or made any changes on your computer before this problem started?
    • What version of Windows 10 is your computer on?

In the meantime, we suggest that you check out the steps shared by Neeeeks on this link.

Looking forward to hear from you.

    Regards.
