Windows 10: iCloud app AND iCloud on the brower won't connect

I have seen similar complaints on here, as recent as January 2023. And the discussion peters out with no fixes. Windows says it's Apple, Apple says it's Windows problem. That doesn't fix my issue. I agree with the previous poster who said it happened right after an update - his was in January of 2023, mine was August of 2023 . Windows rep couldn't help, gave me instructions on how to uninstall updates, which I did, and it still is doing the same thing. It says Connection Error, ICloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server. I tried the DNS trick, toggling it to manual and

iPad iTunes + iCloud

A friend of mine has an iPad that has been locked by ZVRS. ZVRS is a company that gives away free devices to deaf people. When she received the iPad, it was locked with an iCloud account. She has called customer services numerous times and they still refuse to remove the iCloud account. It's impossible to install anything on the iPad. She wants me to bypass/remove the iCloud account.


I told her I'd remove the account for a fee, but she won't be able to pay me in a couple of weeks. I was wondering is it possible to use two separate accounts? One for iTunes (download apps and stuff) and one for iCloud (lock the device until payment has been received). I know it sounds unethical, but I'm tired of people taking advantage of me.

 

Can't setup iCloud account in the People app

I am trying to add my iCloud account to the People app in Windows 10 (Fall Creator's Edition).

My steps:

1. I start the People app and click Add Accounts.
   
2. I select iCloud from the list. For email address, I enter my login email address for iCloud. For Send your messages..., I enter my name. And then the iCloud password. And then click Sign in.
   
3. It says Your account was setup successfully, but then when I dismiss the dialog, it says

What am I missing? Why does it not connect?

To remove iCloud, you can follow the below steps:

- Click Start and type "Apps & Features".

- Select the first result.

- In the list, find iCloud, then select it and choose Uninstall.
