    .iCloud files in my OneDrive


    My research team is using OneDrive to share project related files with one another. I have a Mac and noticed that some of the files in the OneDrive had .iCloud extensions to them. My theory was that files on the OneDrive that were downloaded onto my computer were being automatically converted to .iCloud files to save space, and then these files were being saved as .iCloud files on the OneDrive and were thus being changed for everyone. So to fix this, I turned off the feature on my Mac that automatically converts files to .iCloud to save space. This introduced some new issues. My original OneDr

    Onedrive to ICLOUD files

    Some of my Word documents in Onedrive have turned into ICLOUD files and I can't open them. What is going on, how can I stop it happening to more files and how do I access the files which have changed?

    OneDrive or iCloud

    you can use either, you can use both. I'd let Apple do their apple stuff to icloud, and just do the stuff you want to share between your PC and your iPad on OneDrive.

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

    Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

    If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
