Windows 10: icon placement when transferring folders

Hi. I use RemotePC to transfer folders from home to the office computer. Lately, when I transfer a folder from home, the icon for the transferred folder appears in the top left corner of the desktop display, For example see below: I transferred a folder named Danville 1971 Yearbook.RemotePC support said their app does not control the icon placement. Is there a Windows default setting that puts new icons in the top, left corner? If so, I can change that setting? Thank you!

How to make a Uber Hidden Folder

• Make a new folder.
• Change the icon to a blank icon. No icon should appear
• Rename the folder to a blank by pressing "alt + 255." (NOTE: Press 255 on the numpad) No text should appear.
• Your done! It is uber hidden. *Big Grin

 

How to make vista display same icon size for all opened folders in explorer ?

i dont think this answers the question , how do i make all icons in all folders appear "Large Icons" .

Cant place icons on certain places on dekstop

To do that, go to Settings > Update & Security
> Check for Updates.

We also recommend changing the desktop icon settings. To access it, follow these steps:

  Type Themes and press Enter.
  
• 
  Click Change desktop icons.
  
• 
  Uncheck Allow themes to change desktop icons.
  
• 
  Click Apply.
  
• 
  Click OK.
  

After installing the latest updates and changing the desktop icon settings, check if you can place icons on the left side of your screen.
